Efecto Limón

The Lemon Effect was born from the creativity of William Nunes, a multi-disciplinary artist, a musician, an “art operator”, as he likes to call himself — because he has always worked with his hands.  Having combined his professional experience in music with his work in theater-set and accessory design, he balances his practical skills and his abstract vision, combining performance and design.  He now applies these talents to creating skirts and accessories.

Paqui Costea is William’s partner. She is the unseen side of the sun, in charge of production, marketing and sales. The voice and guiding light of William's unique designs, she exercises her particular charisma behind the scenes.

William develops his skirts and accessories using zippers of all types of colors, giving shape to a variety of designs. The skirts are meticulously made from one single long zipper until the cheerful flare reveals itself.

Each is particularly adapted to the hips of the women who ultimately will adorn themselves in these creations.

Fortino Tapia

Fortino Tapia is a multi-faceted designer who remains faithful to a romantic-gothic style.  He might surprise you with a collection inspired by musical instruments and a few days later with a short documentary about domestic violence.

He draws his inspiration from Art in any of its multivarious forms.  His last collection was influenced by the writings of Edgar Allen Poe and Charles Baudelaire;  other work has been inspired by music, especially operas, and by musical instruments, by old photographs and movies, by sculpture, and by poetry.

More than a craftsman, he is an artisan.  He loves to see how different materials take shape, as if he were sculpting clay.  Fortino enjoys exercising his imagination and truly enjoys designing and creating.  He also takes great pleasure in music and the company of his friends.
